The expansion of electric mobility in the region is close to the heart of Stadtwerke Wertheim, as impressively demonstrated by the cooperation with the premium bicycle manufacturer Storck Bicycle. Both companies agreed not only to promote the use of e-bikes, but also to further advance the charging infrastructure for electric cars in Germany. Thus, in addition to the cooperation around the topic of "e-providers", the idea was born to install a publicly accessible charging station in the parking lot of the bicycle manufacturer at Almosenberg. On Tuesday, Dec. 15, Dr. Todor Lohwasser, managing director of Storck Bicycle, Thomas Beier, managing director of Stadtwerke Wertheim, and Christian Ernst, of Stadtwerke, therefore came together to officially inaugurate the e-charging station.

"After the successful start of our e-provider campaign, we wanted to expand our cooperation and decided to install the first Stadtwerke e-charging station at Almosenberg in the parking lot of Storck," reports Thomas Beier, who emphasizes that the charging station is publicly accessible and usable. "E-mobilists do not necessarily have to visit our store to use the e-charging point. However, we are of course looking forward to welcoming numerous interested parties to celebrate our 25th anniversary together with us," continues Dr. Lohwasser.

"Like our other e-charging columns in the region in and around Wertheim, this column offers two charging points with a charging capacity of 22 kW each, which could be used to charge two electric cars at the same time," informs Christian Ernst, who is, among other things, the contact person at Stadtwerke for all matters relating to e-mobility. This charging station, like the rest of the energy provider's charging stations, is also part of the Ladeverbund+ - even if you don't immediately see it because of its unusual design in the e-provider look. "Users of the E-charging station can download the Ladeverbund+ app free of charge from the various 'stores' of the cell phone providers and use it to simply settle the amount to be paid," concludes Thomas Beier.
