Cyklær receives "Top Design" award for outstanding design at the European Product Design Awards

The Cyklær Bike was awarded the coveted "Top Design" award in the category "Outdoor and Exercise Equipment/Bicycle and Bicycle Accessories" in the international competition of the European Product Design Awards. This means that the brand, which was only introduced in September at the international trade fair Eurobike, is off to a great start.

The Cyklær Bike is the brainchild of the German premium bicycle manufacturer STORCK Bicycle and is manufactured at its headquarters in Idstein. As the first bike ever, Cyklær takes an innovative step beyond the e-bike and offers a platform for digital services around urban mobility. This integrated cycling experience, for which the Cyklær brand stands, was developed by STORCK together with Porsche Digital and with the help of component manufacturers Greyp and Fazua. The innovative, sporty e-bike is thus characterised in particular by its digital services such as navigation, video recording and location services.

The unique design of the e-bike frame with its well thought-out integration of the intelligent technology into the frame construction gives the bike a timeless expression and brings out its shapely character. The overall concept convinced the jury of journalists and design experts from various European design magazines.

"We are very happy about this recognition and the success of the Cyklær bike. The award proves that we have succeeded in creating a product that is both technologically excellent and aesthetically pleasing," says Markus Storck, designer of the Cyklær Bike and founder of STORCK.
The European Product Design Award, supported by the German Design Council, is presented annually to designers for outstanding achievements in the field of communication design. Practical and beautiful concepts are honoured that address current demands, present solutions for them and thus enhance everyday life.
