Overproportionate record growth for STORCK Bicycle in the German bicycle market through sustainable establishment of direct sales

The German premium bicycle manufacturer STORCK Bicycle announces a booming online business via www.storck-bikes.com and a further increasing, strong growth in the stationary STORCK flagship stores.

Already in spring 2021, the two General Managers Dr. Todor Lohwasser and Markus Storck gave a positive resume of the successful development in the anniversary year 2020. At that time, the continuation of the rapid growth curve was already apparent. In the course of the year, further internal company records were achieved and the market share in the bicycle industry was massively increased. The growth rates reached a multiple of the general branch growth.

Despite the increasing percentage of e-bikes, the majority of this growth is accounted for by the sale of high-quality road bikes. Online sales increased by almost 400% in the last two months compared to the same period last year. The upward trend for the entire calendar year via webshop and flagship stores adds up to three times that of the previous year.

Markus Storck is once again convinced by the conversion of his business model to "direct-to-consumer" around three years ago: "We are highly satisfied that the development is continuing so intensively. In view of the tense market situation, the further increase is a valuable signal and confirmation of the successful transformation," says Markus Storck.

Despite the persistently difficult supply situation, the upturn was reflected not only in incoming orders but also in sales. With an outstanding order volume, the Idstein-based family company is approaching the end of the year and, with its sustained strong growth, is creating a stable base for further steps towards success in the coming year.

Dr. Todor Lohwasser adds: "The awareness of our excellent price-performance ratio with the proven high quality continues to spread to the masses. Our seven new models, including some for the Eurobike in September, are experiencing incredible demand - especially due to the bikes' record-breaking level of innovation, for example, in the aerodynamics and weight ratings, but also because of the interesting new colors. The gravel bike GRIX and the aero-optimized racer Aerfast, both of which have once again won numerous tests, are also having an impact."

In addition to sales through its own stores and online store, growth is also being driven by the new partnerships, especially in the e-bike segment. Within the next few months, STORCK announces the launch of another major cooperation, for which more details are yet to be announced.
