For decades, Markus Storck has proven his talent in creating extraordinary design objects that go down in history. Primarily with unique, timeless bicycles, but also sometimes with architectural and automotive projects, he keeps coming up with new design highlights. This year's German Design Award once again holds a significant success in store for STORCK Bicycle. With all five products submitted, the premium manufacturer won the award in the category "Excellent Product Design - Bicycles and E-Bikes".

One of the fastest racing bikes ever measured in the world, the Aerfast.4 Pro, already won several awards last year, including the Red Dot Award. Likewise, the gravel bike GRIX.2, which, in addition to its modern and sporty geometry, enchants with its unique paint job. The e:drenalin.2 SRS convinces as a powerful e-mountain bike in a noble stealth look. The e:RADDAR brand helps STORCK to two further awards. Particularly pleasing is the success of the modern e-bikes erde.1 and erde.2, which are in the trekking and urban segment and are based on a completely new development with a specially developed motor. Operation via a dedicated app enables a navigation system and records all data, such as kilometers ridden, meters of altitude, time or cadence.

The German Design Council, whose mission is to represent German design, honors innovative products and projects as well as their manufacturers and designers. The German Design Award enjoys a high reputation worldwide beyond specialist circles. The jury defines outstanding design as providing answers to the challenges of our time and thinking design forward.


100 awards for design

Even more remarkable than the five most recent awards, however, is the list of honorees. Markus Storck set himself the curious goal of winning 100 design awards in 1997, when he received the Red Dot Best of the Best award, the first and one of the most significant recognitions. Markus Storck, who at the age of 30 was already running his own companies and actually wanted to study design, founded the company STORCK Bicycle and fulfilled his dream by pursuing his passion for designing alongside manufacturing outstanding products. From this came the idea of achieving 100 design awards in his lifetime. Numerous other Red Dot Winner awards followed, as well as two more Red Dot Best of the Best awards. Highlights also included the prestigious German Design, German Brand and iF awards. By achieving this goal, Markus Storck can count himself among the most successful product designers. Some of the award-winning exhibits are still in museums today, including in London and New York.

With the extremely streamlined and super-light "Aerfast.4 Pro", Storck is once again setting standards. The claim to dynamism and speed is strikingly underlined by the striking Radioactive Green paint finish and makes the racer even more of an eye-catcher.

When it comes to speed coupled with sporty, exclusive aesthetics, the "Grix.2 Pro" from Storck is way out in front. As carefully manufactured as it is holistically thought out, the road bike sets its own standards.
